Update: Well, we'll be honest, we weren't expecting to get a new teaser for the next Mass Effect game today, but here we are.
The new trailer is just 35 seconds long, but it shows a masked figure sporting a stylish N7 outfit. Naturally, fans are already suggesting that this suggests the return of Commander Shepard. Or at least, that's what BioWare clearly wants you to think.
As written in the original article below, the next Mass Effect is believed to be in pre-production right now, so it could be a long while until we learn anything more.
Original Story: BioWare's busy wheeling out some very cheeky teases for its next Mass Effect game, which is believed to be in pre-production (read: we won't be seeing it for years yet). The developer kicked N7 Day celebrations off with a lengthy blog post, detailing fresh merchandise and community-led bits and pieces.
However, if you actually stop to read the post, you'll quickly realise that it's full of 1s and 0s — a binary code that spells out 'Epsilon'.
And then what do you know, BioWare publishes a tiny teaser on YouTube, also called Epsilon. The five second clip features some legs. Walking. And that's pretty much it.
The video's description reads: "Transmission incoming", so it's assumed there's more to this. We'll keep you posted.
How do you feel about teasers like this? What do you think BioWare actually has in store? Raise an eyebrow in the comments section below.

I love that they still celebrate the existence of one of the greatest trilogies of all time (not just games). But I refuse to get excited for new Bioware projects. Next Mass Effect was announced 3 years ago and still I doubt it's as actually being worked on.
These teasers are useless for me show me something or just leave it.
Yeah I mean I love the three main line Mass Effect's, yes even 3 which I think is great, but it's hard to get excited for this considering Bioware seems to be in constant turmoil.
I am hooked, line and sinkers. I want to know what they want to tell me. I am curious to see how good the new Dragon Age game and this coming Mass Effect will be and if they are similar enough to them for my taste. But yeah, I am very patient, so take your time and make it well🤝
After Inquisiton, Andromeda and Anthem my hopes are low for Dreadwolf, especially with the amount of people that have left during the development over the years. However, I'm still excited for the new Mass Effect. The team behind it is solid and if they can give me a great story/characters and keep the open-world aspect of Andormeda away, I'll be happy... so I'll see everyone in 4+ years' time where I'll be massively disappointed.
Can't wait until it's released in 2030 completely broken and full of microtransactions.
Let's be honest, the BioWare we knew and loved is long dead with almost all of the key developers having left the company.
I love the original trilogy but I think it's acceptable to have no expectations when it comes to a new game.
It was a good run BioWare. I really enjoyed it.
Oh great. The new ME is a walking sim.
It kind of reminds me of that Abandoned "trailer" that released last year.
Remember the one that was hyped to oblivion and then it was just feet on a floor? We even had to install an app to view it but then there was a convenient tech issue.
Still, I love me some new Mass Effect news.
After the last ME I can't say I'm that excited
I'm a huge Mass Effect fan so I'm naturally excited for anything new. I'm even a staunch defender of Andromeda. I always thought that game was better than its reputation would have one believe.
Still it is deflating to know the game is still so very far away. I'll keep waiting and hoping for the best though!
Update: That is some snazzy N7 armor! Not much more to glean from the full teaser but yeah...definitely digging the art direction at least!
The full tease is a massive nothingburger... But, on the other hand, damn if that isn't a dope N7 armour design!
i mean new mass effect 2030 , elder scrolls 2040 , should be a great 20 years to come , hopefully i'm alive to see it.
Release Dragon Age first. If that comes out to positive reception THEN I'll get excited for whatever else Bioware has cooking.
Shepard survives in one ending to ME3 so they can very much bring her back, i do hope Shepard is in one piece though and is straight back to action fairly quick as Mass Effect 2 done the whole "dead" Shepard thing and getting the band back together.
I mean... what's there to be excited about?
Bioware hasn't even release Dragon age 4 yet. There will be DLC for it as well and it's been in development for what? 6 years?
The new Mass effect is pretty far away still. At least 3 years and that is being optimistic given Bioware's output.
Though now that SWTOR was taken from them, they got their balls to the wall.
Hopefully we can carry over save files from mass effect legendary edition
Liara T'Soni again? After all this time since the first trailer, don't they some other character to show, or at least tease?
A teaser, after a teaser, after a teaser. Next announcement will be like dragon age and they'll just show some teaser artwork. Bioware really hit the deep end of *****.
@Pat_trick That the old EA, they seem to keep that crap to their sport games nowadays.
Kinda worried we won't be getting that mass effect Andromeda DLC at this point.
@GuttyYZ Nothing wrong with 3 to go as far as to say "Even 3" that tiny minority has their head up their butt and need to get over it or go play Andromeda and understand just how bad things can actually get.
@NotSoCryptic The only good thing about Andromeda is the movement/gunplay, so much better than the original trilogy.
Shame this one is still so far away
Looool as if we’d get hyped for anything new BioWare puts out. Proof will be in the pudding, we have no reason whatsoever to think this is likely to be good given recent evidence.
I've never understood BioWare's insistence of showing a bunch of nothing for years when their games are barely even started.
I see many on here are complaining that this doesn't show us anything of substance and that the game is still years away.
Personally I look at it as a positive thing that Bioware took the time to whip up a little something to mark N7 day for the fans instead of just letting the day pass by with only some merch discounts to show for it.
These teasers don't mean much to me. I actually really enjoyed Andromeda and think it unjustly gets a bad rap, but this new Mass Effect isn't even their next game! Put out Dragon Age before you start teasing the next project.
I'm a huge fan of the ME Trilogy. Must play Andromeda soon, already bought it. I would play even if it ME5 didn't consider this story, but it will.
@RawnDawn gonna have to disagree about Andromeda. Sure they fixed a few things and refined what they had done in me3, but the gunplay was still a mess in Andromeda. Who adds a jet pack mechanic to a cover shooter. I think some of frostbite origins helped, but there were a ton of design decisions that just didn't make sense and even the abilities were kind of nonsensical. Just isn't enough there to give it praise for game play.
@NotSoCryptic The gameplay is miles better than the original trilogy, that's all I'm saying. Is it the best compared to other games? No but again, compared to the trilogy, yes it is.
I guess we agree to disagree.
Day one for me
